In a letter to CS, A&NI, GEF demanded to provide safety equipments and imparting training to the Electricity field employees

Subject:-  Providing of VHF sets, Hand Gloves, Linemen Safety Belts and other safety         equipments to Electricity field employees including imparting training etc. - reg.

Sir,

            We would like to inform you that, we have witnessed many electrical accidents of field employees of electricity department every now and then in our Islands. Which can be avoided, if the safety equipments are provided to them from time to time. And for the application of equipments, the department should impart proper training to them in regular intervals.  

            Therefore, we request your goodself to kindly issue necessary guidelines to Electricity Department to provide the safety equipments such as   Hand Gloves, Linemen Safety Belts, Helmet, shoes, earthing Rod  etc. and also to provide VHF Sets to all field employees for proper communication and  better operation of transmission and distribution system of power supply.
