GEF Request for appointment on compassionate ground for poor and needy dependent members of deceased Employees

Subject:-  Request for appointment  on compassionate ground  

                 for poor and needy dependent members of deceased

                 Employees of Electricity Department –reg.

Sir,

            It would be appropriate to mention here that, a good number of  poor and needy dependent members of deceased Employees of Electricity Department are struggling for their livelihood. But, the department has not taken any firm step to provide them jobs under compassionate ground for about 8 years. Though there is a provision of 5% appointments under compassionate ground. As per rule, the compassionate ground appointments should be made by the department within a period of three years depending upon the availability of vacancies.

            Since, the department has not done such appointments in the stipulated period of time, we request your goodself to kindly  issue necessary guidelines to the department to take immediate action to fill-up the vacancies  available under compassionate ground barring the time limit prescribed therein and provide jobs to the poor and needy people, who fulfill other terms and conditions of appointment under compassionate ground.
